Welcome to the Virtual Donor

The Virtual Donor, follows a donor through the donation process.  We hope this will help explain the donation process for whole blood.   There are six general steps to donating blood.  The whole process is easy and you will be doing something that truly can save a life.

This demonstration will download pictures of an actual donation.  Please make sure your browser has it's graphic display turned on to appreciate the process.  Have fun!

Most people know how important it is to donate blood.  We all know someone who has been hospitalized for surgery or in a bad accident.  We just assume that blood will be there where we need it.  Unfortunately, that may not always be the case.  We need a constant blood supply and that means you have to do your part.

The Virtual Donor is intended for those who never gave blood before and don't know what to expect.

Go with our friend Ana as she takes you through her donation process step-by-step so your first donation will seen like old hat.
